The importance of having your own website for hosts during the pandemic
We are behind a very interesting day in which, for the first time, we communicated with our followers and users through a live webinar on our Facebook page. Namely, on Tuesday, 22 December 2020, at 4 PM, we held a free webinar in which the main topic was the importance of doing business with your own website during the pandemic. The presentation consisted of several connected sections. The conclusion of the webinar also brought a bit of pre-holiday spirit, as gifts were mentioned as well, which will be discussed later in this post.
We started by explaining why an omnichannel sales approach was the ideal approach for 2021, considering everything the current year had brought us. What does an omnichannel approach allow us to do? We then listed some of the main characteristics of a quality website for private hosts and talked about how to achieve better website visibility and increase traffic to your website.
Given the problems that private hosts faced in 2020, we mentioned how a website can help a private host maximize earnings and how it can help them position themselves in relation to the phenomenon of booking cancellations.
Your own website is one of the key sales channels that gives a host greater control, better visibility, and a more direct relationship with guests.
